ABOUT LISMORE AIRPORT (YLIS)

Lismore Airport offers a low traffic environment which is optimal for our students within the initial modules of flying. The surrounding terrain provides favourable wind conditions and offers a large training area.

Airport details include:

• Parallel taxiway with Class G space radio communications
• Close proximity to additional aerodromes in Casino, Ballina, Murwillumbah and the Gold Coast
• Two instrument approaches on the runways, RNAV for 33 and 15
• Uncontrolled airspace allows for greater training time and opportunities
