Flexible and focused, our modular training programme is the step-by-step pathway to becoming a professional pilot. We offer EASA accredited modular pilot training at our purpose-built academy at Aéroport Montpellier Méditerranée, Montpellier.

If you want to take each module of the training process as a stand-alone course, at a time that suits you, this programme is your best approach. After successfully completing each stage, you will be ready to apply for a First Officer airline position.

Our modular students receive the same high level of training, professional development opportunities and personalized support as our integrated students.

Stage 1: Selection and Foundation Course

A Compass Aptitude Test which consists of:

1. English comprehension
2. Verbal Reasoning
3. Control
4. Slalom
5. Memory
6. Mathematics
7. Task Manager

Stage 2: Initial Training

Your new career takes off with initial training at our state of the art academy with new, on-site accommodation in Huesca. The skies of northern Spain offer pilot friendly flying conditions while Huesca’s light air traffic and long runway mean

Your initial flight training gets off to a confident start. Experienced instructors will teach you to fly on our fleet of Garmin 1000 (glass cockpit) equipped DA40 aircraft and you will gain a PPL in 13 weeks, Night Rating & structured flying hours in 14 weeks.

LEBANON / TURKEY
27 WEEKS

Stage 3: ATPL Theoretical Knowledge

The third stage builds on the knowledge gained during your initial training and takes you to ATPL standard. You will study 14 subjects, such as Air Law, Aircraft Performance and Instrumentation, in two phases, with exams at the end of both phases. At Airways Aviation, the learning environment is designed for optimal results: light, modern classrooms, equipped with Apple TV; and small group teaching for maximum individual attention.

FRANCE
36 WEEKS

Stage 4: Commercial Flight Training

With 14 ATPL exam passes in the (flight) bag, you will progress to commercial flight training. This intensive stage is both challenging and exhilarating. You will learn to fly a twin-engine, glass cockpit DA42, gain your CPL and learn to fly in instrument conditions. At the end of this stage, you will have 200+ hours in your logbook and be commercially qualified.

11 WEEKS

Stage 5: Multi-Pilot Foundation Jet Course

  • Multi-Crew Cooperation Course (MCC)
  • Jet Orientation Course (JOC)
  • A320/B737 sim instruction

This advanced jet training is the ultimate preparation for your first airline application. The knowledge and skills you have gained during your training will come together in a multi-crew airline training setting as you learn to operate as a professional airline pilot. You will undertake 30 days of intensive Multi-Crew Cooperation and Jet Orientation training, completing your training with one of our expert partners in Ireland, Germany or the Netherlands. This will include 48 hours of flying time on an A320 or B737 fixed base simulator.

FRANCE
2 WEEKS

  • be at least 18 years old
  • be able to obtain appropriate visas
  • hold a minimum of 5 x GCSEs (or equivalent); successful completion of English, maths and science is desirable
  • be fluent in English
  • be a minimum height of 5’2 (157 cm), maximum height of 6’5” (196 cm)
  • hold a EASA Class 1 medical without restrictions
