The global pilot training academy, Airways Aviation, has announced a new partnership with Sharaf Aviation Services Academy (SASA), a division of the Sharaf Travel Group. Under this new industry partnership agreement, Airways Aviation and SASA will cross-promote their respective training courses building upon each company’s brand equity in the region, fostering the value and benefit of high calibre aviation training opportunities in the UAE.

Airways Aviation provides a full suite of pilot training, from foundation theory to Airline Transport Pilot Licence courses, across its Pilot Training Academies and Aviation Foundation Schools around the world, including Dubai.

SASA offers a wide range of International Air Transport Association (IATA) accredited programmes in Travel, Aviation, Ramp and Cargo; with specialised courses in Airport Operations and Revenue Management, among many others.

Representing SASA, the Marketing Manager for Sharaf Travel, Mr Syed Aadil has welcomed the new collaboration stating, ‘Dubai is paving the way to become a world hub for aviation. The growing number of students who want to embark in a career in aviation has increased dramatically, resulting in a high demand for a wider variety of training options. The partnership between SASA and Airways Aviation, another aviation powerhouse, will help us to meet that demand for well-trained aviation experts across a variety of aviation jobs in the UAE.’

Figures support the assertion that the aviation industry is on the rise in the region: passenger traffic for Middle East carriers jumped by 8.7% in February 2015 compared to the year before, well above the global average of 6.8%. This reflects an increase in the number of airlines operating in the region and subsequently, the need for more qualified industry-ready graduates.

Airways Aviation Business Development Manager, Mr Yuseph Hawatt added, ‘We see this partnership as furthering our company vision of providing exceptional training opportunities with real career outcomes. This collaboration with SASA builds cross-business synergy and provides students across both businesses with an unprecedented choice in training and an enhanced opportunity to forge a successful career in the aviation industry.’
