Our EASA FATPL Integrated Course is designed to take you from no aviation experience (ab initio) to a qualified commercial pilot with a ‘frozen’ Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL). On graduation, you will be ready to begin your new career.
We offer EASA accredited pilot training at our purpose-built academy at Montpellier Méditerranée Airport. The course syllabus is created in consultation with leading airlines and covers the rigorous technical requirements of pilot training, but also includes personal and professional development at every stage of the process.
Our modern facilities are designed to offer everything needed for great achievements and an outstanding training experience.
This course is set out in three stages to help you achieve your career goal of becoming a commercial pilot.
The objective of the ATPL theoretical course is to reach a level of knowledge that allows the student to successfully pass the various modules of ATPL theoretical certificates as defined in FCL.515 including Area 100 KSA.
The course contains 762 hours of training, which includes the development of the Area 100 KSA LOs. It is divided between the subjects, the interwoven LOs of Area 100 KSA, and the assessments, as based on the Airways Aviation Academy systems course design. Arrangement of the course is within 3 phases:
Airways Aviation / ESMA holistically integrate Area 100 KSA into the entire training syllabus. A particular emphasis will be on training through real-world situations, dealing with emergency events, stimulating resilience, and more.
The training structure meets EASA requirements and includes two formative assessments, two summative assessments, and a mental math test.
The classroom training includes classroom and practical work to address the subject and the Area 100 KSA LOs, such as but not limited to: lessons, tutorials and demonstrations, planning, communications, group presentation, scenario and project exercises, practical work using simulator training devices, computer-based training, workbook exercises, assignments, airport and/or aviation industry field trips and other media training.
Once you’ve passed your ATPL exams, you’ll progress into flight training at our state-of-the-art academies in Montpellier, France. The skies of south France offer pilot friendly flying conditions while Montpellier’s light air traffic and long runway mean your initial flight training gets you off to a confident start. You have the option to perform part of your training in the UK where students experience challenging controlled airspace and a stress loaded environment which prepares them for their airline career.
The Multi-Crew Coordination & Jet Orientation Course is the final stage of your course and is the ultimate preparation for your first airline application. Everything you have learnt will come together in an airline training setting as you will be able to operate as a professional airline pilot.
